The Story of our Name
Haere-roa embodies manaakitanga (hospitality) and whakapapa (genealogy, descent from people and land), which are central mauri (values), and Te Aranga (Māori design principles).
Respect of water and land, enhancing native flora and fauna, and addressing the impact of the building on the site all play a part in making connection to place and to the story of Haere-roa.
