Opened in 2019, Haere-roa is the heart of student spaces on the University of Canterbury campus.

Located on the banks of the Ōtākaro Avon River, Haere-roa offers award-winning event spaces, theatre experiences and in-house catering in the heart of the University of Canterbury precinct.

About Us

Opened in 2019, Haere-roa is the heart of student spaces on the University of Canterbury campus. We are proud to be part of the University of Canterbury Students’ Association (UCSA), a not-for-profit registered charity.

Through our venue and catering services at Haere-roa, we help generate funds that directly support students & the wider campus community. Every order contributes to services that support student wellbeing and experience during their tertiary education pursuits.
